James Barnes & JulieAnn Calareso Train/Educate Ombudsman
James Barnes, Esq. and JulieAnn Calareso, Esq., are proud to participate in the training and educating of future New York State Office of Long Term Care Ombudsman advocates. The Ombudsman program serving Albany, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington counties is administered through Catholic Charities Senior and Caregiver Support Services, and is an effective advocate and resource for older adults and persons with disabilities who live in nursing homes, assisted living and other licensed adult care homes. Ombudsmen help residents understand and exercise their rights to good care in an environment that promotes and protects their dignity and quality of life. Training occurs throughout the year, and James and JulieAnn proudly share information to future Ombudsman advocates on important issues involving advance directives, patient rights, and long term care issues.
